Picked up out of a farm auction outside Peoria, Illinois in spring 2025 for a fair price. Engine ran, body was solid, everything else needed help. Started the LS swap in April 2026 sourcing an LS3 long block from a wrecked 5th-gen Camaro. Stock 350 is on the engine stand for a future build. Plans include Terminator X standalone ECU, Hooker BlackHeart LS swap headers, mid-mount accessory drive, and a full vintage-style aesthetic preservation throughout. Goal: factory exterior, modern guts. The truck looks like a 1972, drives like 2026.

Project Summary
LS3 Engine Swap is complete. 28 parts were installed sourced from Holley, Hooker, and supporting vendors. The conversion replaces the original 350 with a wrecked-Camaro-sourced LS3 long block, controlled by a Holley Terminator X standalone ECU, breathed through Hooker BlackHeart LS swap long-tube headers, and dressed with a Holley mid-mount accessory drive. Tuning was completed at Apex Performance Garage in Kansas City. Total estimated build cost matched projected budget within 4%. The truck fired on first crank.
